| Many Israelis think that it is possible to fight their way to peace. All they need to do is maintain their provoking behavior and uncompromising attitude, in cooperation with unlimited American weapons, diplomatic support and, of course, having America do the heavy lifting in wars with Iraq, Iran, and, perhaps Syria. Some think Israel is tough enough to handle Stria alone, but, until Israel can handle Hizbollah, it`s best if America fights the actual nations. Anyway, the good news is, with Obama, all this fighting will not be necessary. Obama will push hard for peace from the beginning. He will give all the protagonists equal consideration and treatment. Equal treatment may seem unkind from Israels point of view, but it is the only road that goes where Israel (and others) need to go. That`s what best friends are for. |
