Brett Lieberman, The Forward: Sarah Silverman was wrong: Older Jews more likely to vote Obama

Those are some poorly-framed numbers.

1. Does Gallup`s poll ask for ETHNICITY or RELIGION? Most liberal, reform American Jews identify as RELIGIOUSLY Jewish. (Very different than in Israel.)

2. The survey considers ONLY TWO AGE CATEGORIES: above 35 and below 35. The 35 and older category includes BOTH Obama-loving Baby Boomers and Obama-ambivalent grandparents. The 35 and younger category includes the Obama-rabid "millenials" (18-25) and the--arguably--less crazed 25-35 age set.

Shady numbers, the opinion of one Brandeis professor, and yeshiva interviews ARE NOT CONVINCING. I`m a 20 year old, Reform Jew at an elite College in Massachusetts. I HAVE NOT ENCOUNTERED A SINGLE "YOUNG" JEW WHO HAS VOICED SUPPORT FOR MCCAIN.
