How can one claim not to use the Torah to judge who to vote for but at the same time claim to vote with the ?spirit of Jewish Teaching?? It sounds to me like your simply trying to justify what you already believe.
Also Ash I think my parents would qualify as ?normal American Jews? in your bigoted option. They both voted for McCain, but I guess that is what happens when you grow up in a communist country, you see any form of socialism and you automatically reject it. As for me the idiot Orthodox guy I encouraged them to vote democrat in the congressional race.
