We still do not know why Georgia decided to pick a war with Russia this summer.
Was it at the urging of the McCain Campaign, which has members who have long lobbied the US government in behalf of Georgia?
Was it at the behest of the Bush regime, trying to restart the Cold War before it left power?
Or did the government of Georgia think one of the above would come to their aid?
Under any circumstances the last 8 years seen the USA commit Suttee in a Bonfire of the Insanity. This has given those nations on the rise, or, in the case of Russia, which have intelligent and coherent plans to regain power, a golden opportunity to gain a march on America.
Mr. Gadhafi is a bit of a nut case, but he knows when to take advantage of a situation. |
