| My family was forced to wait for hours at queues in order to buy milk and more than a day for few pork ribs. I didn`t know what coca cola was until I was 9 and was often inquired by teachers if my parents had gold or listened to Radio Free Europe. Me too I had to study in the saturdays and my mom had to work often 7 days a week in order to provide for us. Us too were asked by the police to stop going to the church and saw tens of old churches destroyed in a few months. I have a not so usual name for Romania even if it is 100% local, originating from the north of Moldavia. Still, I too was cast out and often beaten by some of the less-than-bright kids at school and called "bozgorul" (pollitically incorrect term for hungarians) and, yes, jidan. I am not jewish and still I too was opressed by the same people you identify with Romania. Do you now see any flaw in your judgement? If the answer is yes, maybe there`s still hope... |
