| Some of the settlers will pit themselves against the Israeli government. One side will lose power as a result. The settlers that are quiet and do not denounce the behavior of the extremists become party to the mutiny. Just as in Gaza, the innocent will suffer because of the actions of the minority extremists. This is the result of the frantic, uncontrolled west bank expansion and now Israel must cope with it. The only way for the government to avoid violent confrontations is to back away and allow the settlers to make their own policy. |
