| Interesting that the earliest Israelite language is indistinguishable from proto-Canaanite. So what you have is a sub-tribe of Canaanites who are influenced by Egypt, maybe even go there, absorb Akhenatenist monotheist ideas from there and stage a coup d`etat in Canaan, in the process violently imposing their new monotheistic religion on their relatives. That is then written up later as the story of Moses. OK, well that makes sense. |
