| Sorry guys, but it seems to me, that you simply can`t see the wood for the trees anymore.... Now, let`s be fair: Is it true that the Arabs wanted to "push Israel into the sea" (at least till 1973), and did it take the PLO till the early 90`s to accept Israels right to exist...??? Yes, that is true indeed. However, it is also true, that the same Arab world has now offered Israel full recognition (in other words a "warm" peace, not a "cold" one like todays with Egypt and Jordan) in exchange for land. Now it is obvious that Israel is not happy with the refugee part in it, so of course this will have to require a compromise which will rather end with Palestinians getting financial compensation than going back to Israel. Now are their still extremists in the Arab world today, who reject Israels right to exist...??? Of course, but there can also be no doubt, that the Arab "mainstream" is almost "begging" Israel for peace.... |
