Bradley Burston: Voting as a religious experience

Title:Lightly touch-tickling the democratic rights

Voting .....Something so trivial, so benign like perforating a chard or stamping-out our selective mark. Entering a confessional cubical in private isolation. Without a clergyman or a spiritual leader to oversee the quandary. Or guide a quivering yet righteous hand. Modestly confronting a secretive contract, a civilian ritual with other common folks. Lightly touch-tickling those democratic unalienable rights. When those moments are over and pinning that tag on our chest `I voted`. An air of excited reality sets in. We finally confront the scope of it all....the commonplace power we each hold.
