Long ago, the National Socialist Party (a branch of the America Nazi Party) announced it was going to march trough the city of Skokie, Illinois. The intent of the march was clear. The Nazis wanted to outrage and humiliate the large Jewish population of Skokie which contained many Holocaust survivors. I suggested that the appropriate response was to turn out for the parade and laugh. That is the very worst thing one can do to bigots determined to offend.
