U didn`t launch an attack against the govt of S, but instead another player, which we`ll refer to as T.
T continuely attacks U and I from S, then retreats back into S for safe haven.
If S claims that an attack on T is an attack on them, they are effectly claiming that T and S are inseparable. With this being true, S would also be responsible for the attacks launched against I and U, and in this case would be the aggressors in this situation. If S`s hands are clean, they would separate T from themselves, state that T was attacked and that they have problems securing their border. MOC (many other countries) would be willing to assist them in securing their border at this point. Would appear that S is in a bit of a pickle.
There is no comparison to the USSR and Syria as proxies, two different times, two unbelievably different countries. |
