Branding Shas` leaders as thieves/corrupt because they use the system to get money for disadvantaged children is outrageously parallel to the stereotype that Non-Jews associate with Jews everywhere in the world. Particularly in the current economic situation.
I don`t expect Ha`Aretz readers to go with this, but it`d be good to look into statements like that and analyze why Sefaradim are more prosecuted (and convicted) than Ashkenazim.
