As a Board member of the Minnesota Chapter of the Republican Jewish Coalition, I am appalled that Senator Obama refuses to debate members of the RJC. We are conservative Republicans who believe in limited government, strong defense, low taxes and individual freedom. We are strong supporters of Israel who believe in John McCain`s unwavering backing for Israel.
We are very concerned about Obama`s support for Israel. He wants to negotiate with Ahmadinejad without preconditions. If Iran attacked Israel would he negotiate or come to Israel’s aid.
Is this the kind of President that we want in the US? If he cannot take on questions in a civil forum, how can he tackle the very difficult issues that the US will face in international affairs? If I were an Israeli, I would be very concerned about the consequences of the election of a man who refuses to make clear his positions on the future of the state of Israel by not debating credible conservative Jewish members of the opposite party. |
