| Over recent years the republican party has become the party of the right wingnut, the ultra rich and the religious right. Groups of citizens have been targeted for Orwellian hate campaigns. moderate republicans have been systematically purged. It has become the party of fiscal irresponsibility, ideological purity, and pointless war. The republicans are in much the same position as the democrats 35 years ago. Or the whigs in 1855. . . . |
