Dear Sir,
I fully agree with the opinion that Jews or any other religious non-Christians (unless they are atheists, see below) should not get involved in the internal Christian affair of canonization of their saints. In principle, canonization is supposed to reflect the special relationship between the deceased person and God, expressed in the ability of the deceased person make miracles. In fact, "the Church places special weight on those miracles or instances of intercession that happened after the individual died and which are seen to demonstrate the saint`s continued special relationship with God after death". By other words, complaints presented against Pius XII is interference in God matters. Only non-believers for whom all religious institutions are historical products designed by man are entitled to complain against religion in general and against the institution of canonization in particular. However, this seems not to be the case. |
