| The sin of Sodom and Gomorah was that the rich oppressed the poor and refused to help anyone or to share their wealth with anyone, even outlawing any help, and punishing anyone who did help. The sin today is secularisation. Israel`s secular schools do not transmit the traditional Jewish values and this in turn leads to selfishness and hedonism. Rights have replaced responsibilities, in Israel as elsewhere in the West. Parents and teachers who might have once disciplined out of control boys, today risk arrest for assault. |
