The answer is simple, Israel Harel! Torah! Specifically summed up in Deut. 7:1-6: "When the Lord your God brings you to the land ...when the Lord your God gives them [the people of the land] over to you and you defeat them, then you must utterly destroy them."
This is all the excuse your young hotheads need to attack the Palestinians. This is the value on which they were educated. Ancient Israelis are those whom they take as a role model. This is the value system inculcated by their parents. So who produced these wonderful exemplars? Those who live today according to an outdated tribal system of law which has not been updated in 3250 years.
If you are still puzzled, ask your Rabbis. Undoubtedly they have some sophisticated rationale for avoiding what is obvious to a discerning mind. May the Lord preserve us all from the Shas, the Haredi, and ancient, defunct law! |
