Nice try, Mr. Harel, to blame it all on "peace activists".
But the simple question you have to ask is "Why did all the countries of the world (including Israel) agree not to settle their people in occupied territories?" The reason is that oppression and violence is the inevitable result. Israel can pretend that international law doesn`t apply to her: but the reason behind international law, human nature, certainly does.
Squirm as much as you want, and find some excuse that makes your (magnificently elastic) conscience happy: the guilt is at the door of the settler movement and all who encourage it.
And the concern of many, in Israel and beyond, is that you will destroy Israel with your hubris and arrogance. |
