Israel Harel speaks with the voice of decency, sense and morality. He is of course right about the unfairness of the media, the scapegoating and stigmatizing of `settlers`, the failure to distinguish between the actions of the few and that of the great majority. Still there is a question for people like Israel Harel, and in a much more minor way, myself. Do we truly stand up, to, confront, and condemn the hooligans and haters among us? Or do we say to ourselves, that it`s only talk, and does not really mean anything? One thing is clear. If the horrible minority act in immoral ways the majority will be painted by their brush. Somehow from within inside they must be convinced that they are only bringing harm to the people and the land of Israel. |
