| Both sides are aware of the simple principles of the tradeoff between the one state and the two state solution, and the Arab side is willing to discuss and negotiate a limited return policy balanced by compensation for those not allowed to return. The two state solution is recognized as a peaceful, ethnic separation, in contrast to the apartheid and violent ethnic cleansing in progress in Israel`s West Bank, ruining Israel`s relations with its ethnic neighbhours. I believe all parties recognize humanitarian exceptions to the rule of separation which must be limited to preserve the principle of the two-state solution required to preserve Israel`s Jewish identity. None of these things have been ruled out under the Saudi Plan, which offers Israel an honourable and lasting peace in exchange for an honourable two state solution. Again, this offers Israel an honourable, negotiated, compensated limitation of Palestinian return, Israel`s bottom line. |
