Gaza controlled by Hamas has resulted in a siege and border closing by both Israel and Egypt casting the Palestinians into desperate poverty, misery and Israeli military strikes in response to Qassam rocket fire - and sheer and utter hopelessness for the future.
As for the Lebanese, Iranian proxy Hizbollah dragged Lebanon into a useless and totally needless war in which there were no victors - only a resounding loss for the Lebanese people: 1200 dead, entire towns flattened, cluster bombs all over the place and the constant threat of new war. And yet again it will be the Lebanese people and nation that will suffer mightily if a new round of armed conflict takes place.
And Iran is proud of all this - well, it doesn`t surprise me. It tells a lot of what Iran is made of. Iran is a curse on the entire world, especially the people they purport to support. In fact, among Iran`s critics are not only the US and Israel, but also the neighboring Arab Gulf states. |
