| The writer has hit on the main point here, without, as usual, realizing it: "...most gas is sold under tight contracts that allow buyers to lock in prices for up to 25 years. As a result, a cartel would likely have little influence...." Of course, a cartel would stop with the `tight contracts` and begin with sales per barrel, which is the alpha/omega of a gas cartel. |
