First of all you should not speak in the name of "everybody". Everybody does not want new elections now. There is a set time for new elections and this is in about eighteen months.
If you had elections now you would get Bibi. Well, he had his chance, and was labelled by the Israelis and others "the worst P.M. Israel ever had." He was abandoned by his own party. He will not stop the peace process, just as he did not stop Oslo. Acrually under his mandate the major steps of Oslo were taken including evacuation of Hebron.
No matter who will the P.M. he or she will be under continuous pressure to renew and complete the peace agreements Just like Sharon, Bibi will be drawn into the process, because Israel is not an island. It has to consider international opinion.
So if all will be the same why not support Livni who is an experienced politician and lawyer and will hammer out the best deal for Israel?. One way or another the majority of the settlements in the WB and Golan will have to go. |
