Marie: I can tell you are a sincere person, so I don`t enjoy bursting your bubble about abortion. But the fact is, Republicans engage in abortion and birth control about the same as Democrats. It is just that when the fringe anti-abortionists were shopping for a bigger stage, the Republicans took them into their tent (along with the gun nuts and other obscure special interest groups) It was a fair bargain to make the election numbers pan out. In return for the voting block, the Republicans make their public nod to the unborn. Simple as that. The bedroom trivia weighs heavy on the minds of certain people, but the vast majority are into issues of tax fairness, choosing sane wars to fight, and trying to keep the politicians honest.
I do like your local agriculture slant, however. I have a garden myself. |
