| One interesting factoid about the Obama candidacy: Educators across the US, especially high school level, are noting a drop-off in the slouch and sneer, the baggy pants, and especially the open disdain of "acting white", which had been the discouraging hallmark of inner city youth. This is not to be underestimated. What would be the effect on black youth, and race relations in general, if Obama does win? |
