The state institutes, the press, the police, the school curriculae, the mainstream rallyies against a easily recognizable minority group without much power. Then young, often poor members of the maistream group who don`t seem to succeed in life and are looking for a scapegoat for their own troubles decide to attack individuals from thaT minority group. Then the mainstream leaders cry `oh, they are just a few individuals, it`s not a social thing` and the criminal kids get away with a warning.
In Europe, we have seen this often and it still happens so now and then: it is called antisemitical violence and it is equal to racism. So sad that this must be happening in Israel. Of all places in the world, here you might think people know better. |
