| ...this vik guy never took a cab? Does he shake in his shoes and hope the crazed driver doesn`t whip out a knife and slit his throat as an infidel? But then I realized that I would be calling attention to both a regional and a racial stereotype. Whoops, I guess I just did. I know lots of Arabs and Muslims. None of them want to kill me. None of them ever question my religion (or more correctly my lack of one). Islamic extremists are no different than our own home-grown extremists like David Koresh or Timothy McVay. An anomaly. The vast majority of Muslims are just like all of us, trying to pay for the house, raise a family, and fix whatever`s broke without going broke while getting something to eat at the same time for the family. |
