If a general election were held today in Israel, there is no doubt that the majority of all citizens would vote for Likud. The fact is that Likud offers stability and security for all Israeli citizens, the current Kadima/Labour coalition may only serve as a buffer until general elections are called. Lets just be honest, for a moment. OK. There is nothing you or I or UM Ysrael can do, its on the cards and we will have to live with another period of dilly dallying half baked politicians that look and act like imbeciles in the face of a determined and relentless enemy. I suspect that this coalition will initiate a period of searching and quite hazardous conversations with the Saudi Initiative and its rather perilous sequel of allowing into Eretz Israel the Palestinian "Returnees"! No doubt they will return to the Syrian /Turkish non starter, ceating great waves of sympathy, they will also agree on a second truce with Hamas,by then, they will by then be ready for the general elections.
