| In Israel, making threats upon the civilian populace of neighboring nations, as one Israeli general recently did, is "Israeli style diplomacy". This was not very crotroversial at the time because it is standard procedure for Israel and is what the world has come to expect from Israel. In Israel, the thought of America actually engaging in dialog with an opponent rather than using "Israeli style diplomacy" is considered very controversial. This is a sad statement on Israel and helps explain why, after 60 years of treading water, Israel has yet to make it to a safe shore. |
