| It`s generally conceded that the Jewish vote is extremely important in Florida and maybe even decisive. If Florida goes for McCain, let`s hope Obama and his people don`t look for revenge, which they could do if they win the country despite losing Florida. Even if they don`t try to exact retribution, it seems that Jews will lose some influence in the Democrat Party. Has the support for McCain on the theory that he is "better" for Israel been worth a potential loss of influence? In 1992 I worked a phone bank for Clinton. I told callers also to vote for Russ Feingold for Senator. Some people who heard me said Feingold should not be recommended because his Republican opponent Bob Kasten was "a good friend of Israel." I considered those people traitors to the Democrat Party. |
