| The US taxpayer has a huge stake in the end of Israeli occupation of Palestine and all its tensions and abhorrent violence. The annual US tax doller dole to Israel is but a tiny fraction of the real cost of this occupation to the US budget. Its indirect costs in military bases and confrontations in the Middle East and Central Asia threaten to cripple the historical soundness of the US economy. People can argue `til the moon is blue about causes - but virtually all knowledgeable observers of the Middle East know the huge burden the Israeli occupation plays in the regional tensions. |
