If Bush allows an attack on Iran, he (and Cheney) will be removed from office within days and be replaced by Pelosi, who will rapidly throw Israel under the bus to get a peace agreement with Iran. The US economy is in a nose dive right now and war with Iran will shove the economy off a cliff. To prevent total failure of the US economy, Congress will do what ever is necessary. They might even be willing to give Iran nuclear weapons if it would stop the war and prevent total collapse of the US. Israel has no options any more.
As for the Pal problem, all the current players are dead ducks, so nothing will be done. Israel can just keep to the status quo until the Arabs are strong enough to throw the Jews out of the unholy land.
The settlers are NOT going anywhere until the Arabs throw them out. |
