I didn`t see either one lose his temper. They both played fast and loose with facts. And while McCain recognized that there is almost an Iraq SOFA deal, neither latched onto the economic implications of that, a potential nearly $200 billion savings in military operations and other military expenditures that we won`t have to borrow from China. Maybe next year`s deficit will only be $800 billion, instead of a full $1 TRILLION.
These are the two best candidates either party could put up. But on many issues, both ignore important aspects of reality.
I wish I could be cheerleading for one or the other. But I`m still caught between them. And tonight`s joint appearance didn`t cinch anything for me. |
