| The world is changing. Human population still increases exponentially. Human agricultural output is not keeping up with population growth. This is aggravated even further by other factors including: * Global warming, turning good crop regions into bad. * The drying up of water sources in which to provide us with agriculture * A modernizing China, whose populace is moving from a diet of simple grains to that of milk/eggs/meat, which requires 10x more calories of grain fed to animals for every calorie eaten by humans. Along comes the false dream of biofuels, which will: 1) Starve the 3rd world of their potential food so that we can fill our fuel tanks. 2) We will eventually starve off the Western world. But heck, we all need to drive our biofuel cars, don`t we? Please Google the name "Lester Brown". Read his works. Biofuel is not a solution to our current crisis. |
