Uzi Landau gave up his position as Minister in the Sharon government out of conviction that a withdrawal from Gaza would lead to chaos on our southern front. As a reserve officer, I did not have the foresight to recognize the danger and joined in the jubilant chorus of "one less tour of duty" in Gaza. Having learned nothing from the "Gaza First" fiasco, our coalition of misfits race to evacuate even more strategically important territory without a national mandate. Such reckless action will only provoke--not prevent--another war. Our cowardly politicians haven`t the slightest democratic principles and will do anything to be King or the King`s "most senior" assistant. The Israeli voter will not forget who usurped democracy and will be merciless in the next free election.
