This part of your post is quite true. There`s no need at all to "solidify" our presence in Jerusalem (and Hebron, and more of the "West Bank" for that matter, continually for millennia).
More and more proofs of Jewish presence in Israel appear archeologically all the time. So, apart from the already obvious historic presence (some older Arabian villages in the "WB" and Jordan go by the name "Judeida", etc., etc), more discoveries of Jewish roots here are no surprise. The timing of the release of the news of this one may be stupidly motivated, as if more proof were needed, but I doubt the discovery itself is a hoax at all. |
