the facts are that after the danish utter lack of resistance to the nazi military takeover (compare norway or holland say), and in oct. 1943, seeing that the nazi`s had lost their war, decided to do something that would give them a place at the post war tables, in nato etc..
furthermore himmler`s secret service knew about this and were ordered by him to let it go because the swedish count bernadotte (latter visisted by certain jewish interests) was acting as his go-between, as he tried to sell himself as furhrer, after hitler was disposed of, in a pact with the allies against the soviets. he also offered lessening of the so-called final solution, some non-jews were released from the camps, as a goodwill gesture.
