| Alan Greenspan estimates this will be a short sharp recession. I think we stand at an inflection point to the next great thing, which will include a whole new generation of techonologies for energy, infrastructure, and medicine. so I wouldn`t count the US out, and not for long. The people here are very dynamic and a new president will infuse a lot of fresh energy and new directions fast. The demise of wall street as we know it is really a huge reorganization of outfits with huge assets though temporarily hard to price. Americans are very aggressive towards building the next thing taking the next step. The news is a little overhyped. All my banks and credit lines are working just fine and I still get new offers every couple of days. A little shake up of the organization is good, it keeps us fresh, so I see this as an unlocking opportunity. Many of us feel the same way. |
