| which communities were the ones that ostracized mass murderers, and when? Plunge? Kaunas? Vilnius? Rokiskis? Kedainiai? Palanga? You are incorrect, sir. There was more evidence to investigate Valdas Adamkus for war crimes than Yitzhak Arad, why hasn`t that happened? And when the Lithuanian president addressed the Knesset in 1995, you know he was ridiculed in Lithuania for suggesting Lithuania had something to apologize for. Either you don`t want to face the facts or you are a hypocrite. Zuroff demanding justice is doing nothing to sour relations between Jews and Lithuanians. Those relations were soured in June 1941 when Lithuanians began killing Jews. And there are around 3000 Jews in Lithuania, most of whom arrived in Lithuania after the Holocaust from other parts of the Soviet Union. There were more in 1994, most have immigrated to other countries. When Jews were starving in the ghettos Lithuanians set up (Jurgis Bobelis in Kaunas, others elsewhere) Lithuanians gouged them for food. |
