| Mr. Zuroff. I will not argue with your interpretation of the facts, nor with your figures - not because I agree with them, just for they do not matter much. I cannot understand why anyone - Dr. Arad included - should be exempt of investigation of potential war crimes. I do agree with you that many people in Lithuania need to understand better what happened during the war. What I do not understand is what do you want: when people give it a try, you call it "crocodile`s tears" which you "do not need". Well, Mr. Zuroff. Behaviour of people like you is one of the main causes why there is still a lack of understanding among some Lithuanians of what the loss of the Litvak population and culture means to Lithuania today. What we - the Jews and the Lithuanians alike - certainly do not need is this offensive, insulting attitude. What we need is building bridges. |
