Before you idiot diplomats start talking about ending Israeli settlements on "Palestinian Territory", you need to determine where this so-called "Palestinian Territory" is. May I remind you that the Green Line was an armistice line established on 4/3/49 "without prejudice to future territorial settlements or boundary lines or to claims of either Party relating thereto" and not a border? It is beyond the authority of any third party to elevate the status of a temporary armistice line to that of being a permanent border without the agreement of both of the two principle parties to that effect. In the meantime, the Israeli settlements in the West Bank remain on disputed albeit occupied territory and the Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem remain on disputed albeit unilaterally annexed territory. In any case, it cannot be assumed a-priori that the land in question is necessarily Palestinian nor Israeli territory.
