The international arms industry isnt a political institution its these companies exist to make money.
If anything the more hostile the regime the more likley they are going to want to spend money on weapons and in some cases more likley to go to war than more stable and less hostile and the more of your weapons they use the more they are going to want to buy from you to make up for what they have used up allready.
America gives military aid to various countries because it makes them reliable on American because their military infastructure is based on American weapons and they need spare parts etc so they get a little bit free every year but they usualy need to spend more than they are getting free and the extra gets paid for in cash its like buy two get the third free.
Dont try attach morality to the arms trade |
