| Frankly, if I was currently president of Iran, I`d want nuclear weapons. There`s a huge US army to the west of Iran and another to the east, and now Israel`s arming its northern neighbour. And it wouldn`t stop if Iran gave up all nuclear research tomorrow. Bush was threatening Iran before nuclear weapons were an issue and Israel is always seeking to undermine any state that is strongly pro-Palestinian. The only way to be safe would be to have nuclear weapons. Then the threats would stop and the negotiating would start. |
