| Ahmedinejad is a big-mouthed fanatic, but let`s face it, there was no peace before he came and there would be no peace if had never been president. Both Arabs and Israelis have exhausted, useless leaders incapable of making the brave, imaginative moves necessary for peace. Peres is a perfect example. Without Ahmedinejad they would continue their petty suqabbling forever. Ahmedinejad and the possibility of an Iranian nuke has shown both sides that there is something worse waiting out there, and it may be the only thing which could energize a drive for peace. If Israel gets its way and Ahmedinejad is removed, Israel will once again hold every bargaining chip and the settlements will grow and there will be no peace ever. To Israel: Make peace THEN we`ll deal with Ahmedinejad. Not the other way round. |
