| There was no mistaken context here. Qureia used the standard Palestinian media spin "All forms of resistance." Quote, unquote. By all forms, the Palestinians have always meant "including suicide bombings", but they`ve been coached to never say that in public. You see it, of course, after every suicide bombing. A Palestinian official will say "we condemn attacks on civilians... but Palestinians have the legitimate right to resist the occupation." The Palestinians have very high priced media and policy advisors (like former US consul general Ed Abbington) who have helped them produce a teflon image where human rights violations by Palestinians are excused as "legitimate right to resist the occupation." That`s how they try to justify car bombings, suicide bombings, shootings and knife attacks. We Israelis are fed up with Palestinian newspeak. You either want peace or war, you can`t have it both ways. Qureia is the figurehead. Hamas is the government. Hamas does NOT want peace. |
