| Hopefully the public demands will win through and we will have early elections which will be won by Bibi meaning Livni never even gets to be PM and kadima will just fade into history like the other one time wonder parties that have come and gone before Kadima. The majority of the public want a right wing Likud government, in time the left will go back to Labour, the right will stick with Likud and kadima which has been a stain on Israels history will finally be removed. Peace treaties are not always the best solution and whats important here is Israels strategic interests and right now Israel has more to gain from keeping the Golan than giving it away. Israels northern border is the most peaceful of all, around 30, 000 jews live in the Golan peacefully with a similar number of druze. Syria is no real threat, there is no need to give up strategic territory which Israeli taxpayers will be still be paying for in 10 years. Peace treaties are bonuses not the only solution to problems. |
