The example you quote illustrates more than any other the double standards that apply when it comes to talk about Israel.
It reminds me of Italy,which has been through more severe political crises,but nobody has criticized its democracy as unstable and unsuccessful.
It even reminds me of Greece,where even now the government has a marginal majority (and is,therefore,liable to collapse at any given moment) but nobody says the democracy in Greece is "unstable and unsuccessful". |
