Ah the neutrality of the UN, so refreshing, NOT! It is worth noting that the Arab League(there was no such thing as Palestinians..Arabs... back in 1947) rejected 181 and attacked Israel with the stated goal of destroying it.
In addition UN Resolution 181 passed by the General Assembly does NOT carry the weight of International Law.
This should an interesting and bias session, no big surprise. Since the UN has never passed a resolution against the greater than 8000 rockets that have been fired(intentionally) at civilian targets in Israel. Nor has any resolution been passed against the suicide bombings directed at mostly civilian targets.
But Father Miguel D`Escoto Brockmann, must be one of those who "understands" and excuses these heinous crimes against humanity. Very neutral of him.
