| The PA economy would benefit from trade with Egypt. It would benefit more if Bethlehem could trade better with Ramallah. One Israeli study said that fully half of the checkpoints and roadblocks were not for security, but to stifle the Palestinian economy. But that was done by a leftie ex of Shin Bet and another leftie former head of the IDF in the West Bank. The policies are deliberate. |
