I flew out of Tel-Aviv airport back to Sydney on 5th August. As an Australian who was in Israel for 8 days purely for business purposes, I was interogated for almost 90 minutes with the silliest questions you can imagine.
It upset the lady security officer that I spent literally 7 hours in Bethlehem visting the church of nativity. After all, it is the birth place of Jesus and I am a christian.
There is no way in hell I would recommend to any of my friends here in Australia to EVER visit Israel (supposed Holy Land) due to the appalling treatment at the airport.
Israel is losing millions upon millions of dollars a year in tourism revenue due to atrocious behaviour of its security staff at Ben Gurion Airport.
